So sorry for needless death - prayers offered for family.
Does anyone know if this young man was related to Randy "Duke" Cunningham -- R-California (50th)??

I don't believe this is the real story. Beginning with the exceptionally low probability of a gun going off solely because the wearer bent over, one is led to look for other explanations.
Facts:
1) This incident occurred at a fast food drive through window at 1:00AM;
2) a gun in the possession of a 22 year old male who drove up to the window, went off;
3) the gun went off at a point in the sequence of events where the cashier's cash drawer would have been open.
Detective GovernmentShrinker concludes that the most probable explanation for the discharge of the gun is that Mr. Randle Cunningham was in the process of trying to rob the cashier, had the gun in his hand with his finger on the trigger, was nervous to begin with due the planned robbery and was further rattled when his nervousness caused him to drop his change, and at that point inadvertently pulled the trigger.
