Danes are such sweet, beautiful dogs. The only problem with them is their incredibly short lifespan.
Ten is bad enough for most dogs, but five is just awful.

Great Danes are awesome – when our Pomeranian first encountered one he freaked.
I was picking him up at the vet from a grooming. He came charging around the corner to see me and ran straight into the Dane. He looked up, and up and up – until he was looking up at the Great Dane’s kneecap. The Boogie fell over backwards, peeing all over. It was the first and only time I ever saw him display fear of another dog.
