You make your own hats? That's so cool!
I think your chicken hat sounds beautiful; One day, I'll have a big, brimmed hat with ostrich feathers and ribbons all over it; I love how the feathers bounce. I hope to find a pattern to knit a cloche hat, once I get a little more time.

O but you're right, too...I have heard stories, and known a few, too, of the type who can be less friendly ...Takes all types, I guess..

Have to give up my hats soon. It's starting to get cold in west Texas. Tobbogan season soon, and I always wind up looking like a dreary, down and out person. Plan to knit one of those long stocking caps kids used to wear. Does anyone remember them? Has a long end, long enough to wrap around ones neck, with a pom-pom on the end.

When you ping the list, it helps to put the list in the to box. LOL!

Made cards yesterday. Have to design another one sometime this weekend. Bummer, guess I won't be able to clean house again!

"chicken hat" I have a chicken hat. It has a chicken on it and I wear it when I'm stressed out so I don't take myself too seriously. It is getting rather shabby so I would love to make a new one. Do you have a photo or instructions or both?

I'm going to rip out some seaming on baby booties that didn't turn out well and try to make this one less noticeable. With some yarns, it works well and others...not so much. Is there a trick to mattress stitching?
To: secret garden
I always have to look it up how to do it before I do it! (You can tell how often I use that technique...)

That is OUTSTANDING!! I crave a Waldo hat...Can you tell me what m1 means, though?
To: LongElegantLegs
m1 means make 1 stitch. It's a type of increase.

Oh, I see; That makes sense, thanks. :-)
And with that astounding display of ignorance, I'm off to bed. Good night, ya'all!
