(Besides, it's in Gáidhlig, not Gaeilge.)

I think both spellings are valid, I think Gaeilge is for the 'modern' version of the language.

Actually they're two branches of Gaelic: Gáidhlig is Scottish Gaelic, and Gaeilge Irish. Very similar, and I am told mutually understandable, but there are differences too, such as the absence of the present tense in Gáidhlig.
