Has anybody else been, like, totally creeped-out by the recent Burger King ad series?
I mean, like, there's this guy waking up and standing silently next to him is as scary a sight as one is likely to encounter: a hulking Burger King with a frozen face, mouth open (to take a big bite?), staring silently at the poor guy. Ewww!
It's just one of a series of totally bizarre ads all featuring the sudden appearance of the Burger King right in, like, someone's face, like, out of nowhere.
I guess the idea is that when you are, like, hungry, you'll think of grabbing a burger from BK. But really, man. Who thought this series up? I mean, like, if I woke up and saw this thing standing next to my bed, my only throught would be to get my .357 out as fast as I could and, like, blow this ugly mofo back to the Ring of Hell from which it emerged.
Maybe these ads will spur gun sales. That would be way cool!

Yep. I said to my son the first time I saw the ads that I found them disturbing.
First to predict this thread hits 100 replies? Nothing get's the FReepers to come runnin' like a fast food thread.

But yeah, this was just a really WEIRD advertisement.
I agree! These ads are disturbing (in a way that detracts from the message, which is to sell hamburgs).
This one is creepy: it's a scene of a man just after he woke up, and he's standing near a window - he's either at the kitchen sink or the bathroom sink - and he sees the Burger King's head peeping over his neighbor's hedge. He looks away, and the next think he sees is the silent, freakishly cheerful Burger King right at his window.
I would totally flip out and kick him in the face.
All they cared about was being memorable. And they succeeded.
In either case, it's disturbing that grownups who are presumably allowed to vote came up with this clinton.

I love the new BK ad campaigns, it's always nice to see some creativity and a warped sense of humor in advertising.
I love those commercials. They are delightfully creepy. Especially the ones with Darth Vader in them.
I also think these ads are bizarre. I preferred the "Herb" ads, but for some reason they were very unpopular.
Yeah, I've been creeped out by them - they're not only bizarre, they are flat out spooky and seem to suggest that spooky people are ok.
I think that BK is making a big mistake running this series of commercials. IMO, they aren't working.
I just wish I had Burger King on my fantasy football team. He scores a touchdown every week.
Do you remember till about 12 or 14 years ago when their fries were good? They changed them and they've never been as good since.
I'm really glad I'm now addicted to "Batman Begins" and have not watched commercial tv since getting it.

I like the ads. The food is way too fattening, however. I have never been much of a Burger King person. I think the King is creepy, and intentionally so.
A possible improvement.
Maybe they would be more successful if their food was edible.
