Hmmm. To be honest, I'm not overly familiar with it, but have you tried
Bochs?

Yeah, I've looked at Bochs. Would probably work on Windows, but I probably can't get it to work in Slax unless I install Slax to the hard drive; my copy is currently a live-cd.
and since I don't have DVD capability, nor a module/Slack package to convert, I'm limited to about 650 MB total, plus any files I can fit on my USB stick.
