I'm a big supporter of simultaneous animal and people rescue. But at some point euthenasia becomes the only humane option. Sound like that point is being reached.

Yes, we may be approaching the point of humane euthanasia, sadly. The details are unclear on how this situation came about, but an investigation is underway. For now though, the immediate need is to care for the dogs and get them shipped to other shelters where they can be cared for until their owners are either found or they can be adopted, if possible. If not... well... we know the outcome of that.
