Game 2 Live Thread! Chicago leads series 1-0
Pettite vs. Buehrle
Loved visiting Chicago in '97 and '98...been to both parks,
Billy Goat Tavern (Cheeborger), blues clubs, Jazz Record
Mart, the orig. Pizzeria Uno...even took one of those open-air trolley tours. (Going by Harry Caray's restaurant, the tour guide: "There's a mural outside of Harry with his two best friends...Budweiser...")
He sang, you sighed.
His O line sucked I'll grant you and the Pata never had a running game but he lacked the mobility to avoid the rush and his mechanics were terrible.
Brady is the man.
Hey, no football! This is baseball!
LOL!
I saw an album cover by Yankees organist Eddie Layton ("At the Mighty Wurlitzer") that someone put up at my college radio station and I said, "This guy would be pleased to show
you his big organ..."
In the town I grew up in there's an antique organ museum.
He was good in '96 when the line was decent plus he had Curtis Martin.
Nice catch by Lane, but I don't think the Sox will have any problem figuring Andy P out tonight.
It got to a point when I was routing for the defense to knock him out of the game.
Dye drills a single to center.
Konerko Ks. Pettitte up to 23 pitches. Buehrle only 10.
Pettitte and Buehrle a couple of artists out there. Slight edge to Buehrle so far, but it's early.
Home run
Nice of them to come back from the ad just in time for the HR...--Ensburg makes it 1-0 Houston
About time we took advantage of the 1st pitch strikes.
Way to go Ensberg.
'bout time Ensberg started hitting.
Oops! Spoke too soon! Bad pitch by Buehrle, nice hit by Ensberg.
Really. Not an impressive post-season so far, especially last night.
bump
