Game 2 Live Thread! Chicago leads series 1-0
Pettite vs. Buehrle
Pettitte is the man! The Astros look tough and definitely have the momentum in this game. This is a totally different series if the Astros win this one.
Yes! Tim Raines, and J.T. Snow(s)
very good call by the ump...I just replayed that in slo-mo(Thank you TIVO) The call was the right one
True. It's dangerous to even begin thinking of a 1-1 WS headed to Houston, but it's sweet to think about Roy O pitching Tuesday night.
Sometimes I think the ump is just as surprised as the baserunner and misses the call.
Wondering who to root for in this World Series? The Houston Astros are not a bad choice. Good Christian guys on the team. Read some of the posts below on their Christian testimonies.

Lance Berkman testimony

In "Three Strikes...You're Saved," Houston Astros star third baseman Morgan Ensberg is unabashed in saying, "The entire reason I play baseball is so that I get a chance to speak about Christ." Similarly, Jamey Carroll of the Washington Nationals tells CBN reporter Shawn Brown, "If I can be a light in this field that somebody in the stands can see Christ through me, that's truly the reason I go out and I play for Him." So much for the love of the game.

Birthday greetings go to ORLANDO PALMEIRO of the Houston Astros. He is one of several dedicated Christians on that NL Central team, including Morgan Ensberg, Lance Berkman, Adam Everett, and Andy Pettitte. Palmeiro is 36 years old today.

FAITH QUOTE: (On temptations of the baseball life) Basically I just give everything up to the Lord. The temptations are there, but if you don't put yourself in these situations, it's not going to be a problem. When I'm on the road, I like to stay in my room and order room service. Or go out with some of the Christian guys. But I never go out to go out. I don't enjoy it. I love my wife, and I take my marriage very personally and to heart. Whenever you commit to those vows, they're for life. Sports Spectrum magazine
A lot more outs left before that becomes a reality.
Roy Oswalt (can be really efficient) lurks as the game 3 starter (v. Garland), with
Backe in game 4 v. Garcia. Next three games in Houston,
no doubt with roof closed and loud crowd. Oswalt looked
pretty good to me, but maybe Garland will be, too...

Nice catch. Looks like the rain has arrived.
We should have a Prison Break drinking game. Every time it's mentioned. . . .
This is probably Pettite's last inning.
Bet those cast members are thinking "I damn sure didn't plan on sittin' my a** outside in the freezin' rain when I signed up for this gig".
We wouldn't last two innings.
I'm sure they've retreated to dry ground. Big out by Pettite.
No problem, I'm in
