As a lifelong Red Sox fan, I'm stopping by to say best wishes to both teams.

Fellow Bosox fan as well, but I'm rooting for Clemens to wind up his career with a W.S. for his home town.

Dan Duquette was a horse's ass.

Duquette now acknowledges that he may have been a BIT off
with that comment about Roger being in the twilight of his career...

Turned out that Dan Duquette was the one in the twilight of his career.

HR ChiSox! Jermaine Dye was a great pickup for them.

I was begging for the Indians to pick up Clemens when he left Boston. As I recall, the Tribe offered 7M per season, and Clemens wanted 8M. Had the Indians gotten The Rocket in '97, I firmly believe they would not have come up short in the WS that year. The Indians pitching staff that postseason was held together with glue and matchsticks. Jaret Wright (in his rookie year) was the ace of the staff in the postseason that year.

Two things I cannot forgive former Indians owner Dick Jacobs for are not signing Clemens in '97, and not locking up Manny Ramirez to a long term deal long before his contract with Cleveland was up. It was clearly obvious that Manny was a future HOF'er years before he came to Boston.
