I'd still rather see the Cubs than Sox in the WS, but I'm just glad one of the city's teams is there.

It is truly, truly mind-boggling to try and figure out why the Cubs can't even GET there (since '45).

Soon it will be 100 years since the Cubs last won a world series. Of course there is always the chance (however small that may be) the Cubs do win again in the next couple of seasons but you are right. Mind boggling is apt.

That has been an unanswered question for as long as I can remember. The crew that I grew up with always thought that the Tribune Co. didn't care if the Cubbies won or lost, they still drew the crowds, and sold the Old Style. But then I remember when they had Hamms beer.
