I'm keeping the online retailers busy. It's easier to let them wrap and ship than it is to endure the mall and post office routine.

White House 2005 Holiday Theme Is "All Things Bright and Beautful" Mrs. Laura Bush announced "All Things Bright and Beautiful" as the theme for the 2005 holiday season at the White House today. This year's holiday decorations bring nature's beauty to the White House.
Simple, yet elegant, decorations highlight creations from the natural world. Fresh greens, fruit and flowers awaken the senses of smell, taste and sight. The color schemes of tangerine, lime green and hot pink boldly accent the traditional touches of the holiday decorations.
The official White House Christmas tree occupies most of the Blue Room. The 18 foot Fraser fir was grown by Earl and Betsy Deal and their children, Meg and Buddy, of Laurel Springs, North Carolina. Fresh white lilies, crystal garland and white lights adorn the White House Christmas Tree.
Each guest visiting the White House will receive a tour book illustrated by Donna Green from Cohasset Village, Massachusetts. The illustrations capture this year's theme by highlighting the colors and natural elements of this year's decorations.
The words of "All Things Bright and Beautiful" were adapted from Cecil F. Alexander 's Hymns for Little Children. "
WOW. This year's decorations at the White House sound very similar to mine. Minus the illustrated book, of course. LOL I'm doing: masses of greenry, loads of winter white candles with as many types of winter white, fresh flowers as I can find along with crystal prisms, tiny white lights, lots and lots of red ribbon, ilex and holly berries, and large bowls, urns, etc of fresh fruits.

Um-huh, I've ordered things online, too and it is great, love having it delivered to the door.... but I still prefer to oversee the wrapping myself. LOL. (its a girl thing ) I stay away from the big malls and the "big box" places. We have several fabulous new places boutiques and specialty shops this year and I've been wearing them out. LOL

Keep spending. Gotta go now. If I'm gonna walk that beach today I'd better do it before it gets dark. Have a great day.

Thanks.. :) You have fun and stay warm over there. LOL. I'm about to head out again, too. I just came home to drop off some things and grab a bite to eat.

Not to worry... I'll put it to good use, as I sip on sumpin a little kinder and gentler. LOL Maybe a nice tame wine, a Bailey's, an Appletini, or just anything more forgiving. LOL

Well, if you were to drink it you'd give poor Pup heart failure just thinking of the consequences, so I'll just have to save it for another time..........

First lady Laura Bush stands in between paintings used for this year's Christmas card, left, and Holiday program 'All Things Bright and Beautiful', right, in the East Room of the White House, Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005. With table centerpieces of fresh tangerines and lemon leaves, and Christmas trees decorated with real roses and lilacs, the White House is taking a fresh and natural approach to the 2005 holiday season.
