No kidding. I liked SWBF because of the novelty - just mindless fun jumping into vehicles and playing different people. To bad the sequel sounds like a dud.
You may like it, you never know. Rent it on a console or wait for a demo on PC to make up your own mind. It was cool when I started the test (I didn't play the first one) because it was like "Hey, I'm a Storm Trooper, cool!" but once that wore off it just felt like a slow, not to mention poorly balaced, battlefield game. I felt the graphics and sounds were subpar for a 2005 release as well but that may just be because it's a console port.
