Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well, G'nad, you ain't the last. LSA and I took the test. Not sure what was the tie breaker, I got William Wallace. LSA got Captain Jack Sparrow, I'm thinkin' the rum and beach had something to do with that one.

I don't think you will mind if I give him a roughly .60 caliber antitank rifle. Them varmints in the hills on my world r pretty feisty. not at all... the mountain men were the driving factor behind the production of the .50 and .54 cal rifles... East of the Mississippi, .36, the standard cal, was sufficient fer man and beast...
but the mountain men were dealing with elk, buffalo, and most importantly, the Griz... .36 cal didn't cut it...

Do I like the dead guy? Well, pretty much. He was married to your neice and you adore her children (one of whom you flew in from California). He was part scumbag, but not everyone knows that yet.
But it's your sister who is in charge of everything. You don't dislike her. But you like to disrupt her perfect world.

And my beasties make Grizzlies look like large dogs. Nope, we are talking over .50, high velocity and preferably high explosive. he is shortly going to use one to detonate a tank of liquid oxygen from about a mile and a half. He might do it with his eyes closed just to make it fair.

Hmm. I could carry the color scheme all the across the top too. It's been a while since there has been a discernable color there. :-)

He should "shade" through various "terramorphs" by manipulating some sort of talisman.
Oh, wait a bit...this time of year, Alaska is The Dark Realm.

that's dependin' on the size of the tank... I can hit a man-sized target at 1000 m consistently with Painless, but a mile and a half?...
