Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh....I was just testing a theory. I knew that if you put a space between a hyphen and a word it would count two words instead of one, so I wanted to see if it would do that with other punctuation marks.
I am resisting the temptation to pad the word count with punctuation errors at present. :)

Good Morning Hair - Great pictures of the kittens. Homer seems intrigued. Let the mouses beware.

Good Mornning OT - looks like an overcast but pleasant day so far. Gypsygirl has been fully walked and all's well in our part of the shire. Plans include burning a bit of powder at the range.
Had a beautiful day in the field yesterday, about perfect weather. Doing some eco studies along the MO river, south of Atchinson. Next week crunch the numbers.

Cheatsy hobbit!!
I'm up. We're doin' a write-in later. I s'pose I should write some now, too, considering I'm about 3000 words behind where I should be...

I did a bunch of number crunching last week...weather was too nice to crunch numbers! Found a few fleas on Miss Kitty. I suppose I should treat her with Frontline this weekend. The problem is that I pick up with my fipronil project next week and I don't want to bring any Frontline contamination into the lab. Brought some gloves home from the lab to do the job, but Miss Cat wriggles a lot when I'm trying to treat her.

Hehehe...bet I'm a lot further behind than you are. So far having a good morning as far as wordcount goes. Story still sucks, but the words are there....without the punctuation errors! :)

Being a chemist does have it own set of challenges. Good luck with the gloves. Sounds like you'll have your hands full but there is always duck tape. :-)

I'm not much over 5000 words. Really want to make it to over 8000 today, and break 10k by the end of the weekend.
I think I'm in last place as Hobbit Nanowrimo folks go, but if that makes others feel better, that's OK. ;-)

Yeah, but getting the duct tape off the cat is a pretty daunting task in itself!

Yeah, I'm trying to get at least to 10K before the end of the weekend. Hopefully I'll get further than that. Writing goes faster from the villian's POV. Should I make the villian the hero?
Hmmmmm....the Evil-Overlord-in-training rids the world of do-gooder llama lovers making the world safe for badgers.

Well, Ill be a llamas uncle, exclaimed Mitchell. Ellen just stared at him. Sometimes he could be so obscure.

The white one is definately Tweek. She's a scared little thing, hisses at everything, looks like she's goin "Ack! Too much pressure!". The Black one a the gregarious one.

See this... this is my 'serious' face...

I haven't seen an obvious South Park name for the little black one (except Token, which doesn't fit) yet, but we'll see :~D
I sortof liked Blanket....

name for the little black one ...Marvin?
*ducking*running*
To: Lil'freeper
Not Marvin either! It's a girl, and she'll be a very pretty kitty too.
Marvin would be a good name for a skinny stray that showed up though, I'll keep it in mind :~D
