The Hobbit Hole XXV - Fare you well! Fare you well!
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 10/15/2005 7:13:08 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Fare you well! Fare you well!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Oh, here I am in my go-to-interviewin' suit. I think the collar was a little too tight.

If you get rid of any of them can I be the hit-man?

I'd have them stop in TX somewhere to eat, potty and fuel up.... Name a small town with a municipal airport with a restaurant that's roughly along the route...

Apache Springs, Texas (Hair, look for Alpine, Texas), home of Guido's Tearoom & Pasta House & Social Emporium!

I think they're just going to fade into the background and disappear in the December edits.

I am thinking that someone else will have to die to resolve the story. I'll keep your offer in mind.

Would you mind playing a woman?

I like Aero Commanders better myself. The Baron is a solid twin but a little small. They seat 4 with reasonable luggage or up to 6 traveling light. They cruise around 160ish and have a range of about 1300 miles before refueling.

They look like this:

But then my tie would have been crooked!

Did you have interview today?

Yes, see description of interview here. The interview itself was too short to deserve a second description.

I've already got Guido showing up as the undertaker.

Could she pick up a llama wool scarf in the gift shop?

Hmmmm...that might be a little more realistic, especially if she has to fly other family members around to do the detective work.

But I'm not sure about that part.

The link I sent has interior shots for story telling needs. In case you don't know it would be fairly noisy inside. Conversation would be possible but don't expect anyone to hear a whisper.

Yeah, as a matter of fact there're herd of llamas on several of the local ranches, since Apache Springs is over a mile high. However, Hair would have to take a more southerly route. (See the Wikipedia entry for Fort Davis, Texas.

Hair, do you have to fly through a certain pass?

Where exactly am I getting the income to support not only my horse farm for disadvantaged youth, but my $200,000 personal aircraft?

Personally, I could see either as something I rented, not something I own.

Naw... I don't have a particular route... there's some altitudes of significance in AZ and NM, but I don't think Corin wants that much detail. :~D

Just keep me out of Mexico or we end up with chase planes after us :~D
