Actually, she likes guns, so she's at least partially conservative even if she does kiss up to the UN.
Guns don't really make a person conservative, at least not where I'm from. My dad is a hard-core democrat and a member of Gun Owners of America, and two of the guys that I regularly go shooting with voted Green in the last two local elections.
