I couldn't agree with you more...
But I doubt Bush will see the light.

Rove ain't the target. Bush ain't budgin' on Miers.

One more strike and you're out.

I get the feeling things are going to get worse before they get better...
The only thing going for our side is that the mid terms are still a year away.

You're the winner. The most rediculous, idiotic, FR post of the day.

As John Podoretz wrote on National Review's Corner...Bush will pull out of Iraq sooner than he'll withdraw Miers's nomination.

Bonus points: No indictments for Rove or Libby. Does that means Miers sails through?

If Bush fails to withdraw Miers, and Democrats have the vote to defeat Miers, they will use them to do so. Defeating the President on his own ground is simply too sweet, particularly when the strategic argument for putting her over the top -- that it might sew long-term intra-Republican dissention -- is the very definition of two birds in the bush.

They don't

Dems have been hosed thinking that Meirs is a moderate. They have no interest in stopping her confirmation knowing that Bush will just appoint another conservative. Your logic is faulty

particularly when the strategic argument for putting her over the top -- that it might sew long-term intra-Republican dissention -- is the very definition of two birds in the bush.

Keep dreaming....

Roll this up and take a toke off of it...

Really tin-foil hat fantasies:

Ruth Buzzy-Ginsburg exits stage left. Bush makes it known he intends to nominate Hillary. The thought of being under oath in confirmation hearings makes Hillary decline. This ruins her as a candidate in '08.

And...

Cheney quits. Bush Appoints Condi VP...Condi Runs in '08.
