Take your bat and ball and go home.
I think you need to gain a little perspective here.
We aren't talking about robbing a bank.
We are talking about baseball. A game in which phantom tags, neighborhood plays and stuff like this are the norm.
NOT ONE of the White Sox players are culpable for this. The UMPIRES are. The Angels catcher is an accessory because he didn't tag the runner when he could have.
The rest of this is just whiny BS.
WE ARE NOT L.A. We are the Anaheim Angels (contrary to what the wallet-minded new owner thinks) and we ALWAYS WILL BE. What is it now - the Los Angeles Disneyland of Anaheim? The Los Angeles Knott's Berry Farm of Buena Park? That the owner has shoved this name change down the throats of the public, not to mention the FANS, not to mention the City of Anaheim, is such BS. With pressure, I hope the owner will put it back the way is SUPPOSED to be. The ANAHEIM ANGELS forever !
Fine example for the millions of kids that follow baseball. Essentially you are telling them its ok to cheat as long as you cover your ass. I lie repeated over and over in the end becomes the truth. Sad Day for Baseball.
Angels will sweep in front of the home crowd. :)
yes, i would expect people to be honest.
Mikein Iraq. She admit's she a woman.
BTW, I almost missed that play. I was kissing my new girl friend between the strikes, and she was kissing me between the balls.
yeah. There is no question in my mind which is the better team here.
The fact that the Angels played 4 games in 3 different cities in 3 different time zones after 3 cross country flights and went 2-1 in those games speaks to that.
Give them a chance to get some rest and Games 3 and 4 should go to the Angels.
This cheating crap is absolutely stupid.
One last time. The umpires make the calls, not the players. END OF STORY.
obviously i have struck a chord of truth as you have started screaming. maybe you should step back away from the computer if you cant handle adult conversations without screaming.
I had some girls on my team when I played little league. NO biggie there.
I don't know where this cheating angle came from. a dropped 3rd strike is part of the game. Pierzynski only did what most batters do when it's in doubt, that is, RUN. If she doesn't know that, she has a lot to learn.
why?
so far as they care, what happened happened.
It's a few and I say FEW Angels fans that are holding onto this.
one last time. the sox will walk away winners for the night but cheaters and liars for a lifetime.
nope no truth. Just unsupported and frankly irrelevant supposition on your part.
Just your exasperating ignorance of the way the game is played and the players involved is all....
white soxs are cheaters ... you're right. Angels got robbed of game. Bad call . They should have instant Reply
Years ago, I quit arguing with my wife. No matter what, she had to get the last word in.
I see a similarity here.
I was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago, and the Cubbies was the favorite team in our household...I grew up during the 50s, and there was nothing more fun that going to Wrigley Field, and cheering for our team, and watching Mr. Ernie Banks come up to the plate...
I suppose if we had been born and raised on the South Side, the White Sox may have been our favorite team...even tho they were our 2nd favorite team, we still cheered for them to win...
I had an uncle who lived just a few blocks from Wrigley Field...often, on a Sunday, mom and dad would take me and my brother over to my uncles house, park the car in front of his house, get my uncle and aunt, and cousins, ,and we would all walk to Wrigley Field...afterwards we would walk back to my uncles house and then we would have big old Sunday supper together...my memories of the Sunday afternoon Cubs game, followed by dinner with the family, is a very precious memory...
Now, me and the hubby live in the Pacific Northwest...and our poor Mariners finished out the season in the basement...the hubby is cheering on the White Sox...we still love our Chi-town teams, no matter where we might live...
