To: Knitting A Conundrum

I want to learn to knit. I was thinking of paying for a continuing ed class in knitting.

A class might be a good way to get started. There are some basics that are pretty easy to learn. There are several ways of casting on stitches, but to knit a scarf, you only need to learn one, then how to do knit and purl, and you can knit a nice scarf. There's more to learn as you go along, but getting started that's what you need. Some yarn stores have classes, too.

And there are lots of websites with instructions. Some even animate gifs to help you see what you are doing.
