Firefox 1.0.7 (free) updates the popular open-source alternative to Internet Explorer with the latest security and stability fixes. Firefox incorporates tabbed browsing, and supports various themes to change the look and feel of the browser. I was using IE and Netscape and having all kinds of problems. My daughter switched our computer to Firefox and haven't had any problems since.
I like being able to block images from loading; I just wish i could block shockwaves too.
Actually, thanks for posting this it reminds me that I have to upgrade.
You can get an extension called Flashblock. All Flash junk will show up as a distinctive icon, and you can click on it to show it. The downside is with sites where all the navigation buttons are made with Flash, and you have to click on each just to make the page out.
With the Adblock extension, however, you can block individual flash addresses. In other words, the Flash junk shows, but you'll see a tab to click on where you can block it.

Personally, I loathe Flash. It's over-rated and overused bloatcrap.
