Brett Favre made the most of a makeshift offense and carried the Green Bay Packers to a much needed victory.
Favre completed 19 of 27 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in three quarters and the Packers earned their first win of the season by routing the New Orleans Saints 52-3 Sunday.
After going three-and-out and giving up a field goal, Green Bay (1-4) scored 52 unanswered points in snapping a four-game losing streak at Lambeau Field that dated to last Dec. 12. Their 35-point first-half outburst was their biggest one-half output since Dec. 6, 1992, against Detroit.

whew!, that was close.
Yep, a real nail-biter!!!
CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESEEEEEEEE!
Ahem. What I meant to say was 'go Packers go'.
Oh, what the hey. All us Packer fans bleed cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!
It's great to finally win one. Go Pack Go!

Go Lions! NFC North Leaders, baby!
Finally off the schneid! Of course at this pace by week 9 Brett will be the only starter on offense still playing.AWB
Yeah the previous four games were to lull the NFC north into a sense of complacency... the Packs gonna charge back and take the conference!!!!
(Yeah that's it, that's the ticket!) :)
Didn't you get the NFC North newsletter... there was an agreement this year... ever team will gets its day at that top of the conference this season. its a rotating thing this year... ;)
Note the points for and against. We'll see who is where by the final week of the season (Pack started 1-4 and finished 10-6 last season)
