I understand. I don't work anymore, so I don't have that stress. I was 18 when I got married. We were married for 33 years before he died.
I am a recluse, too. I just can't get adjusted to not being part of a couple.
The only time I have fun is when I go visit my new girlfriends whose husbands died of the same disease as mine. We met on line. Weird, huh?

I guess the diff is that I never was part of a "couple"... which is why we're divorced. *chuckle* It's sad for you tho....because it wasn't a life choice. To me that would be harder to deal with.... I don't have a problem getting dates....I just haven't found one that trips my trigger. :) BTW.... my patients think I'm "cool". Does that count? ha!

hi...I dont sleep much and just found this thread. I too am a young widow, and agree, adjusting to not being part of a couple is hard. I also only feel like i can really relate to others who have lost a spouse. Thanks for keeping me company tonight
