I understand. I don't work anymore, so I don't have that stress. I was 18 when I got married. We were married for 33 years before he died.

I am a recluse, too. I just can't get adjusted to not being part of a couple.

The only time I have fun is when I go visit my new girlfriends whose husbands died of the same disease as mine. We met on line. Weird, huh?

I guess the diff is that I never was part of a "couple"... which is why we're divorced. *chuckle* It's sad for you tho....because it wasn't a life choice. To me that would be harder to deal with.... I don't have a problem getting dates....I just haven't found one that trips my trigger. :) BTW.... my patients think I'm "cool". Does that count? ha!

I'm getting beat to death by the sandman here......... You guys hold the fort! Night!

hi...I dont sleep much and just found this thread. I too am a young widow, and agree, adjusting to not being part of a couple is hard. I also only feel like i can really relate to others who have lost a spouse. Thanks for keeping me company tonight
