Yeah, "freak accident" as in EVERYTHING POSSIBLE going their way to beat the Yankees 2004.

Btw, imo the Bosox have had a "better" team over the years many times -- only to come up short."Chicago has the best relief corps in the game. How about giving them some credit?"

Chicago had better starting and relief pitching as well as better defense.

Down the stretch the only Red Sox guys you needed to worry about were Manny Ortiz. Trot, Mueller, Millar, Nixon, Tek were all ineffective.

And I'm still peeved that Torre went with the likes of Kevin Brown and Javy Vazquez in Game 7 of last year, and never pitched El Duque, even though he said he was ready and able to get into the game.
