You will end up getting someone else in there who will find a way to sign Konerko...count on it.
I don't see that happening. He built a world champion last year and even though there were some trades to be made, he didn't trade his prime prospects for one more shot at glory.
Cashman could be enticed but I don't see him as anything of an upgrade.
