(Oct. 6, 2005) -- After just four weeks into the 2005 season, several teams are beginning to show their dominance. But what if some of those teams are in the same division? Then that will make for some interesting showdowns as the 2005 campaign rolls on.
So which division has the strongest grouping of four teams? The NFL.com experts try to show their dominance of football knowledge and came up with their answers. They know that one great team doesn't save a whole division, but on the flipside one great team can legitimize a couple of decent teams.
In the three full seasons of realignment, only two divisions have had the same champion all three times (Philadelphia and Green Bay), three of them have had two different champions, and three have had a different title holder all three times. That's says a great deal for competitive balance, and it says a lot for the quality of division.

I guess I should have considered the possibility that some of the intra-divisional games could end in 0-0 ties.

I never did answer the question asked. I vote for the NFC East (at least its still in the NFC).AWB

i would have to agree NFC east or NFC south are going to be tough.. the teams are so close...
(Thank goodness Tampa Bay is not in the NFC north anymore... they would be walking away with the division this year.)
(the old Black and Blue division, has become the Boo Hoo division.)

It was originally NFC Central with the Bucs included in the division...but that didn't make much sense either. Then again, neither did the Arizona Cardinals being in the NFC WEST.
Cardinals should've been in the NFC West.
St. Louis should've been in the NFC Central.
Tampa Bay should've been in the NFC East.
Oh well.

Will when your Running Game(Jamal Lewis) is not rolling then it tends to hurt the over all offensive. Of course I never cared much for Kyle Boller, either.

You mean it's not the NFC North? I would've thought that having 3 wins among 4 teams over 4 weeks (and only 1 of them in a non-division game) would be considered tough </sarcasm>

The NFC "Norris" (As Chris Berman used to say) couldn't compete in a high school league. Hopefully the Packers will win all their games and end up 12-4 (Yeah right) Why go 12-4 when a historically-low 5-11 will win the division outright? :-)

NFC North is some of the worst football, outside of Favre's late drive last Sunday, I've seen concentrated in one division in a long time. The NFC West doesn't exactly inspire confidence, either. Their best team is a very inconsistent Seattle squad.

It is "Norris Division" it's based on the old NHL Norris Division, that had teams from Detroit, Chicago and Minnesota.

The NHL should go back to the old way. Heck, I still consider the Pens to be in the Patrick Division.

Uh sir the bathroom is just down the hall on the right. Please pee in the cup and well get the results back to you shortly Apparently, you didn't read the "Yeah right" comment I made after stating that.
Perhaps you need to pee in the cup?

P.S. its spelled Norse not norris It's NORRIS - Chris Berman used to pronounce it "Norse" when he did SportsCenter.
You smoking crack or something?

PAC-10....
I totally agree. Anyone who thinks LA area doesn't have a pro team should look at the USC Trojans. I am thinking they could beat both professional teams here in Northern California. (niners and raiders)
