From the book THE GREATEST COMMUNICATOR by Dick Wirthlin:

On May 15, 1984, President Reagan and I had been visiting in the Oval Office. "Hey, Dick," said the president, "have you heard the one about the old man and his friend?" "No, Mr. President, I haven't." "Well, on one particular afternoon, an old man and his friend had been visiting with one another. The friend said to the old man, 'I bet I can tell you exactly how old you are.' The man replied, "How can you do that?" "Easily," said the friend. "First, turn around." The old man turned around. "Second, pull down your pants." The old man pulled down his pants. "Now pull down your shorts," and the old man pulled down his shorts. "And then he said to the old man, "All right, pull up your shorts"--which the old man did. "Now pull up your pants," and the old man pulled up his pants. Then the friend said, "Now turn around," and the old man turned around. The friend looked the old man right in the eye and said "You're ninety-four years, five months, and three day." The old man was astounded. "How could you ever guess so precisely how old I am?" he asked. The friend paused, then said, "Because you told me yesterday."

***This book is chock full of these nuggets I've never heard before. A MUST READ for Reaganites!

Bad taste for 2005. Reagan struggled with Alzheimer's for so many years.
