Both grand kids, since they could walk, have looked at locks on doors, screens, windows and cabinets as challenges.

Their Dad, our son, says they remind him of future safe crackers or cat burglars.

He forgets how he used to take a screwdriver to a lock and remove it from a door to see how it worked and how to by pass the locking mechanism and then put it back to fool Dad and Mom.

We had the double locking mechanisms installed on our carport door. They have figured out how to by pass everything but the inside key lock for the dead bolt. I installed hotel room quality safety locks on the door, and our grand daughter showed me that she is tall enough to unlock the safety lock.

We used to keep all of the warranties and diagrams of stuff like these locks in a warranty book in our kitchen. On their last visit my wife watched our grand daughter drag out the warranty book and go through the diagrams of the new locks and explain things to her younger brother.

That book is now locked in my office when they are here.
