If you truly enjoy the taste of "Man's Best Friend" there's something else I would like you try, however, FR profanity rules prevent me from suggesting it.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed it, I would much prefer a good hamburger, but it wasn't bad. I had it in Taiwan. Dog meat there goes by the name, "Good Smell Meat", and is considered an aphrodisiac. I am not sure how many different ways there are to cook it but it was cooked up stir-fried when I had it. It is also on the menu here in Thailand but I haven't tried it here... at least not knowingly.

Dog is actually on the menu in many countries around the world. There is nothing strange about it. Just because you don't think it should be eaten does not mean that the rest of the world agrees with you. I know a certain group of people who are rather put off that you eat pork. I don't think you loose any sleep over that one.

I think the story premise is a hoax. The lips/snout are too thin to keep the bait on the hook.

...Unawares, I ate dog once from a street vendor in the Phillipines when I was in the Navy. When I realized what was in my stomach, I immediately stuck my finger down my throat. I genuinely love dogs and consider them to be the second greatest creation of the Almighty.

I get a kick out of people favoring one animal over another.

Certain sects of India would cringe at our lust for beef. I'm sure certain Asians find our protection of dogs equally confusing.

This was posted a few days ago. (The thread was pulled.) I too had my doubts about the photo. There's no blood on the hook or the dog's snout. In fact, I would expect to see bleeding from both the nose and the mouth for a wound like that. Also, the dog does not seem to be in any distress. It should be going berserk trying to either get the hook out or tear that guy's hand off.

These people who do things like this to dogs need to be DEAD! And they need to be dead in the same manner.

Agreed. I saw the picture on Drudge this morning and have been thinking about it all day. I have four dogs, all rescues, and would gladly beat the crap out of anyone that I knew was involved in this. What a horrible way to die - hooked through the nose and dragged through the water so they can be eaten alive.

>STRAY dogs are being skewered on hooks and dragged behind boats as live shark bait

I've heard of live mice
being used to catch muskies . . .
All's fair catching fish!
