I'd do with Lenny and that's not to slight Gonzalez as he did come in when they needed him to pitch the games when the other team was beating on the Sox. He started a few games and pitched well in relief in some others....not exactly lights out mind you but I recall some games when he went 2-3 innings and gave up nothing.

He doesn't match up well against the CWS. Not enough heat on his fastball, not enough placement and his curve is okay but nothing to get too excited about.

Next year they need to get an everyday first baseman that doesn't need a platoon or defensive replacement. Having the Millar/Olerud situation is a waste of a roster spot.

I'd like to see them bring back Mueller, get a first baseman (Olderdude, Petagine, or let Ortiz play the field and get another slugging OFer, whatever), and have Youkilis play 3rd and 1st. They should be able to find a low cost player regardless. I like having a starter ready to go if somebody gets hurt. Maybe a 1B/RFer like Millar (except better) considering the odds that Trot will get hurt again.

I'd really love to not see Millar get an at bat in this series but sadly that won't happen.
