Also, truth be told, if were completely candid with ourselves, weve been spoiled and pampered, accustom to having someone take care of us, make sure that our socks matched, that we didnt embarrass ourselves at that party. Sex was a given, no need to shower, shave, appear desirable, or even interested. And definitely no need to think about her feelings, wants, desires, or idiosyncrasies on a second by second basis.
So, why on earth getting divorced? He had it all.
He neglected her, took her for granted, focused on himself rather than her. He drove her way through selfishness and ignorance. Courtship should be for a lifetime, not a sales pitch that ends after a march down the aisle--that's false advertising, from the standpoint of a girl's emotions and normal nesting drive.
As in flowers, candy and nights on the town should continue throughout the marriage.
(I just haven't found a girl willing to spend that much on me yet! Petronski, you lucky dawg!)
I think it was right here in this line: And definitely no need to think about her feelings, wants, desires, or idiosyncrasies ie. he's a jackass.
Just because he gave her a ring, that didn't give him license to turn off his love for her. He's a grade A jackass. He wasn't even trying to be a friend, never mind a decent husband. He's a pure taker.
But she did not have anything. I would think that she dumped him.
