This is not censorship. These pictures are evidence that should be used in legal cases, not paraded around so that innocent troops that did not participate in these actions become bigger targets. That's the same rationale they use for not dislosing the race of a suspect (whom we are supposed to be looking for) on the TV news. The whole "guilt by association" thing.
It cannot be avoided.
It's one of the reason that some of us sweat a bit when an arab guy gets on our airplane.
That's life. And it shouldn't be censored.

I suppose you wouldn't allow the government to have classified information either. Your arguments make no sense. They are not historical either. Both Lincoln and FDR censored things during war.

No it is not. This story has already been covered IN DETAIL! We have the suspects. We are dealing with them in court. These pictures uncover nothing new. The only thing that will happen with the release of these pictures is more bloodshed of our troops. I am not OK with that.
