Wouldn't putting the wood on the outside do the same thing while preventing flying debris from hitting it? Still, if I ever need a farm animal cloned, I want an Aggie doing it.
I put my plywood on the outside, but then my house has regular glass. Perhaps it was easier for them to put it on the inside and did less damage to the frame. I don't know.
Or perhaps it was just some lackey teenager being lazy.
