On the subject of Bob Dylan, The Band was the best, and when they were behind Dylan they were a little bit better. Thanksgiving Day 1976 - I was four years old, but in my heart I was right there.
A friend of mine, however, who grew up in Hibbing MN told me Dylan (Zimmerman) used to open his garage door and sing to the street, leaving everyone in the neighborhood questioning his sanity.
Dylan went on to play keyboards with Bobby Vee (go figure) in the 50's/early 60's before becoming a folk/rock icon in his own right.
I guess the message for our children is to "follow your dream", even if the neighborhood thinks you're nuts.
