I used to know a girl who had a job picking up road killed deer for the state of Wisconsin (transportation dept.)

I love the knives made from deer antlers, and have been looking to buy a set.

Does your friend still sell them?

Here in Tennessee the state legislature passed a law a few years ago allowing people to keep roadkilled deer. I do think you are supposed to report it to the state wildlife agency though.

I don't think I'd want it unless the deer was still kicking.

I used to do that on an Army post in Virginia. People were always coming by to take the antlers before we took the carcass to the incinerator (or before we dumped them far in the woods if the incinerator was broken...)
