Delcarmen hasn't learned how to harness his pitches, yet. That he can throw it 94-95 is good but he walks too many people. He has real potential though.

Henson I would like to see a few times to see how he does at the big league level.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's fine, though, if he walks somebody with a man on 3rd. It's not great but if he can get 1K, 1BB, and then we bring in a ground ball pitcher for the third out.

If you look at the A's pen the past few days their kids were able to throw strikes. It destroys the other team's ability to sit on pitches. Plus it puts hitters in the defensive which means they wave at stuff they will either pop up or hit on the ground rather weakly.

either that or hitters (like the Sox and Derek Jeter) sit there and take strike 3.......

Tribe-ChiSox piching matchup for tonight: Kevin Millwood (8-11, 3.02 ERA) vs. Freddy Garcia (12-8, 3.96). In three games against the White Sox, Millwood has held Chicago to a .208 (16-for-77) batting average. Go Tribe!

ESPN was showing Millwood's ERA v. Chicago for the year. I believe he's (0-2) in three starts, with a 1.82 ERA.

Red Sox have to wonder what's up with Clement? In four starts in September, he is 1-3 with a 7.36 ERA.....and yesterday's outing was pathetic.

He's this year's Javy Vazquez -- flourishing in his first three months with his new team, and stinking up the joint in the second half.

Good example of stupid small ball --

Orioles vs. Yankees tonight. 2 on, nobody out, heart of the lineup coming up. They have Melvin Mora BUNT the runners over, a couple of groundouts later they come away with one run. Look, scoring a run is nice. But, as the ChiSox have found, and playing against the Yankees, scoring one at a time might not stand up if your opponent doesn't give away outs with sacrifices and puts up a 5-spot.

Man, Wells is throwing ground balls like they're nothing, but a lot of infield hits and stuff so far.

interesting...

I think the AL will shake out like this....

AL East: BoSox
AL CENTRAL: Indians
AL West: Angels
AL WC: Yankees

I think in the end the A's will collapse in the final week and the ChiSox have been in total disarray, but they were so far up that it didn't matter until now.

Watch the indians take 2 of 3 and make it a race...

Will be a different series with Cleveland vs St. Louis. Love it.

Being from the Burgh, it is tough for me to root for Cleveland. But, I am a succer for a great underdog.

Cashman is a great GM which any team should sign on if they have the opening. To manage in the Bornz Zoo is an exercise in patience, perserverance and skill. He has had to deal with Georgie boy doling out fat contracts for and/or trading for guys at the end of their careers. Kevin Brown was great up until 3 years ago. Musina is getting old and while RJ can still bring it he's 43 years old for crying out loud.

Brown was all Cashman's idea. He even bragged about the move in New York magazine (the article where he also whined about how tough a boss Steinbrenner was. He makes a million a year -- are we supposed to feel sorry for him?

I dunno what to think about the White Sox. They should be able to win their share still.

Wells just didn't have the stuff to finish off batters tonight; and they were fighting off the tougher pitches and pouncing on the juicy stuff. I think he gets an extra day's rest this time, maybe an extra couple drinks, and he gets back on track next time.

I didn't realize that Brown was Cashman's idea. Mondesi was George's though....
