Good Monday morning, all you FReeper baseball fanatics....Two weeks left in the season, and just about everything is wide open...so let's begin...
Oh no....
Wild one at Kaufman Stadium

Cleveland | 0 | 1 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 7 | 11 | 0 | |||
Kansas City | 1 | 0 | 0 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 6 | 10 | 1 |
Hey, Ortiz said it best when he said that they should have been way ahead of the Yankees. The Sox pen has blown too many saves this year. Timlin has 7, Foulke had 5, Schilling blew 4 or 5 and let's not talk about Embree's results from earlier this year.
I blame Theo in part for this. He stocked the pen with last year's old guys plus a scrap project named Mantei and a guy who came from Tampa, Halama.
1.5 GB, if the Indians hold serve. Is the phrase of the day "First Place by Monday?"
There's always this:
Old news. I was over that the next day.
It's way overpriced, but if your a BoSox fan and only see your team in the WS once in your lifetime, maybe it's worth it.
It was a very good night!
But I don't put so much faith in the Twinkies to keep it up.
The lead writer for mlb.com was on Ted Nation's show tonight. He predicted that not only would the ChiSox not win the AL Central, they lose out on the WC to the 2nd place team in the AL East.
He may be right.
1.5 back of the Chisox....Wahoo!

I've seen 3 in my life time. 1976, the greatest series ever?, the 86 collapse and the 2004 win.
You're probably right. Do you remember Cla Meredith? Yeesh, we were at that disasterous Mother's Day game when he completely blew the Sox' lead. I can't remember the score at the moment (don't have time to look it up), but man, it was a DISASTER.
Darn, I should've asked you guys sooner... do you have any advice for parking around Camden Yards? I'll try to check FR briefly tomorrow AM before we leave. Thanks in advance for any help! :o)
GO SOX!!!
Right now the schedule still favors both Tribe and Pale Hose getting in, with the Yankees/RedSox series being an elimination series.
There's a parking garage for the Baltimore Arena a few block North of statidium. When you come in on 395 (don't go russle street/295) go past Camden Yards and past the first garage you see (it's $20). the NEXT one is Baltimore Arean (it's $10). It's a large brown, brick building.
That's the place I alwasy park
If the Tribe sweep the ChiSox in that last series, missing the playoffs is very possible for them. The Tigers might just make that last series anti-climactic. They aren't pushovers with that offense. Losing Bonderman hurts a lot, though.

They are all good, some just better than others.
'64 was one of my favorites. One of the few WS where brothers played against each other.
What is the cross street, do you know?
Rookie who was brought up too soon. Haven't heard much from him since although if he couldn't handle the pressure of the big leagues then that should tell us something.
Go Tigers!
Lombard st. It's one block past Pratt.
The first garage is twice expensive (Howard & Lombard) Than the Baltimore Arean garage. It's located on the OTHER side of Lombard and $10. Plus it much larger and apart from Cal's last game, I've never seen it fill up.
put this into google maps
