You shoulda waited to throw up, 'cause the Yanks just won in the bottom of the 9th.
Now you're stuck with dry heaves.

And the night is not complete without a contribution from REntErEa.....

I thought we all agreed the season was much more exciting trailing the Deviled Eggs by 2 going to the 9th?

And the night is not complete without a contribution from REntErEa..... aka "Rent-A-Wreck"... of course. I've lost count how many errors he has now. I think he leads MLB in errors. >:-(
And Manny tonight, 0-5? Gimme a break!

This team needs to be retooled in the offseason. Manny will likely be traded, Millar is gone, Damon and Mueller may be as well. For what they pay Nixon a year they should be getting more from the position and Rent-a-wreck has turned out to be a huge mistake for the Sox. Kapler is likely finished here as well. There is no speed on this team outside of Damon. While it's great to draw walks and lead the league in runs and OBP, the team's ERA sucks and when you can't win scoring almost 6 a night, there's a big problem.
Lastly, the team has no identity or soul this year. The Yankees feel that they are never out of it and play that way. This team simply doesn't.
Fundamentals get the Tribe two runs (get'em on base, keep'em movin')
SCORE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 - R H E
TRIBE 1 1 1 0 1 0 0 2 0 - 6 9 1
CHSOX 0 0 0 0 4 0 1 0 0 - 5 9 0

It might look better in the morning. The Red Sox aren't nearly all that bad, IMHO.

I wish I could watch it. I'm following it on MLB.com Gameday 2005 in "the theatre of the mind."

It doesn't. They are not good enough to win the Series this year and this is coming from someone who watches just about every game on TV. Too many weaknesses and their strengths are not showing. Plus, the mental breakdowns are showing that the team is tired and unfocused. Yankees don't seem to have that problem though.....
They have been fun to watch and I hope they get it together but I am also being realistic.

A walk and a double from DH Travis Hafner provide a bit of insurance
