Many who believed it, won't see the retraction. Hey, use whatever means to knock Bush down, right? What retraction? The only thing they acknowledged is that they "enhanced" the note with photoshop.

Next time we elect a President, lets make sure he doesn't have anything unpleasant like bodily functions.
Come to think of it, Al Gore always looked like he hadn't had a bodily function in months.. shoulda voted for him.

It's all part of the "Bush is a little boy who has to ask permission to go potty" image they have tried to sell throughout his presidency.

So how did the picture happen? According to Hershorn [Reuters' news editor]
, Wilking [the photographer]
was one of several photographers covering the United Nations Security Council meeting between about 11 and noon yesterday. He was part of a pool stationed on a balcony that faced Bush's back; a group of White House photographers was on a balcony facing the president. Wilking shot about 200 images and sent two memory cards to the press room at the U.N., where Hershorn was working. Hershorn looked at the images on a computer and initially decided not to send any of them.
But a few hours later, he started to wonder about a note that Bush was seen writing in three of the pictures. Out of curiosity, he zoomed in to see if he could read it.
Once he saw what it said, Hershorn decided the note was interesting and worth publishing. The white parts of the picture were overexposed, so a Reuters processor used Photoshop to burn down the note. This is a standard practice for news photos [which does not say much for the MSM], Hershorn says, and the picture was not manipulated in any other way.

Yes, it worked for me as well. From the link:

My thoughts too. This is no big deal. The only people who will care about this are those who hate Bush already.

Next thing you know, we'll be seeing breathless reports that Bush takes a dump, lol.Of course the MSM would have said that Clinton's doesn't stink.

Wait you guys just don't get it.
If Bush ahd come clean from the start and told the press that sometimes he has to go to the pottie than they would not have nned to create this story.
So, it is all Bush's fault.
