Well, then, I'm assuming that you, like most of us, must avoid the immigration threads, because it's rampant on those.

Well I read that thread. I agree that there has been a big jump in racist posts. It coincides with illegal immigration becoming a top topic on FR the last several months but the thread in question did not strike me as particularly racist. I know that that 2 guys that left were in an impossible situation with the aftermath of Katrina but there were several posters on that thread that were only giving a different take on why the bridge was closed and they were attacked just as vehemently as those that were truly posting racist comments. If the posters that are transparently racist were banned then it would also clean up the immigration threads.
