I don't have any beef with you. I was merely pointing out that Howlin seemed to be getting a raw deal for a point that he did NOT make on this thread.

Happily for me I stayed away from my TV today, but I haven't seen the race hustlers with this level of animation since the 60's.
And at least in the 60's we were focused on a goal. Todays hysteria is fueled completely by generalizations, innuendo, and absolute partisanship.
I'm not sure where we're going with it all, but it's not "forward". :(
As my nom de guerre suggests, I used to love a good flame war, but now I find that we are surrounded by our real enemies and all we seem to want to do is attack each other. Kind of sad.
With malice toward none, in the hope that we can see the hubris in all of us, isn't this just the kind of bickering that is the cause of the departures we are supposedly lamenting on this thread?
170-some posts ago, this was all about the loss of two reasonable, insightful posters who are probably doing something better with their time than we are at this moment.

I was discussing my sister with friends on this thread; you inserted yourself into the conversation so you could PONTIFICATE to the rest of us about abortion.
And, of course, by jumping in as you did, either deliberately ignoring my point or blinding not comprehending it at all, you only proved my original point: that some of you are too myopic in your opinions to see the real world.
Nobody here is speaking against the word of God, unless you've convinced yourself that anybody who disagrees with you is speaking against God's word.
