Hannity and Colmes Use Freeper Story without credit

Posted on 09/13/2005 6:51:54 PM PDT by Miami Vice

Freeper Michael P.Tremoglie ( William Tell 2 ) broke a story on Free Republic about the floodgate project that was aborted in 1977 because of an environmentalist lawsuit. Tremoglie quoted Professor Stone of LSU stating that if the floodgates at the Rigolets and Chef Menteur passes had been built the flooding would have been alleviated. Just do a search for poster William Tell 2 the title is Compassionate Liberalism 3 Environmentalists may have caused Flooding

Yet Hannity and Colmes did not bother to credit Tremoglie.

This is a classic example of conservative's eating their own. Liberals at least will stick together.

What a shame. A smalltime freelance conservative journalist gets a scoop and the big boys won't even give him credit. So instead of maybe getting a chance to make a living he gets ripped off.

I am going to contact Hannity and Colmes and give them a piece of my mind.

Freep Hannity and Colmes!!

Wawa, when I was a cop, working midnight to 8, during the summer. Used to buy an extralarge smoothie and nurse it all night.

...and you say you don't understand the 7-11 reference?

You

nailed it!

Okay. I've been reading this thread and trying to figure out how in the world something anyone can get off of google is proprietary information just because someone happened to post info on it here on Free Republic...

So.. I googled environmentalists + Lake Pontchartrain and got a slew of information on this going back ages and mentioned quite often since August 29th in different places on the web including the Daily Kos.

Given what I found in about two seconds I can't imagine anyone getting the nickers in a wad over it being on Hannity and Combs .. rather I'd be glad the MSM finally got a hold of the story and is running with it.

The CRS basically said that Blanco asked properly for what she asked for and that Bush gave her everything she asked for in the official requests. That's something I've pointed out all along -- that everything she asked for in the official requests was fulfilled.

The libs are trying to spin it to say that Blanco's requests were fully proper and when she asked verbally for "everything you got" that Bush deliberately failed to respond.

I dare you.

I can't believe that worked!

This is after having tried that same line on FR some 500+ times prior without success.

How do you know that when Rush talked about someone plagiarizing his show that he was referring to Sean? You don't.

Please look back over the posts. It wasn't me who said that. I still maintain there has been a distance between them.

You have far more tact than I do.

........never mind my lame FR homepage vs. your eclectic masterpiece.

Hannity may as well put on 50lbs, move to Fla., start smoking cigars and date Daryn Kagan.

Hannity's program is Limbaugh redux.

Last week a caller from Kentucky complimented Sean, said he was doing Americans a service, then said he brought greetings from the posters on Free Republic-- Sean went immediately to another call without a syllable's response.

Shawn thinks Freepers don't like him. And I know that for a fact! There are several threads on FR about it if "someone" would like to do a search. He mentioned it on his radio show once. He also ripped FR and said they eat their own and the rhetoric was getting too bad. I guess he wasn't too far off there. But anyway, there was a thread ripping him up good about it.

Hannity, on his nationally syndicated radio program, slammed FR and it's members for the sole purpose of promoting the news discussion forum of his own website .

That day, Hannity was as sleazy as they come.

It's like a snowball rolling downhill.

Once it starts building size and speed, there is little hope in stopping it.
