And let's not forget this stinker-
"The Talented Mr. Ripley."

No! I loved "Chariots of Fire." I am putting in my worst vote for "Scent of a Woman." Hated "Good Will Hunting," too.

Dances with Wolves is a GREAT movie!
I DO agree with your Alec Baldwin, Ben Aflec, Cher, movie observation.

Manos - The Hand of Fate.
It did make a pretty good episode of MST3K, though.

"Lost In Translation" -- terrible on so many levels.
"Meet the Fokers" -- almost as bad.

There was a foreign movie years ago that everyone raved about that I thought was completely boring and pointless (culture-less cretin that I am). It was about a woman (French, maybe?) who ends up as a cook for two Scandinavian women. Wait, the name just came to me: "Babette's Feast." I hated it!

Said it before and I'll say it again.

Worst movies? Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Robinson Crusoe on Mars, Manos, Hands of Fate, Godzilla (big rubbery fake lizard!). The Way We Were (Redford & Streisand together? Yekhhh!), Anaconda (fakey looking snake and J-Lo), Little Shop of Horrors, Attack of the 50-foot Woman.
To: Translates; bert

Classically bad: Instead of blood, the detective found ... tomato juice.

The recent Dark Water, with Jennifer Connelly...painfully slow, disjointed, flat out boooo-ring! Come to think of it, what's up w/Connelly? From a Beautiful Mind, to The Hulk (a strong contender in this contest) to Dark Water?! Somebody needs a new agent!

Aww man, how couldja hate Flight of the Intruder? An airplane with no air to air defense, heaviest payload capability for decades, if not still, and real SKS from Russia used in the on ground Vietnam scenes. Even though the non-action sucked, those Arquette gals are HOT.. Besides, when is the last time you saw a 3rd generation mafia guy who is as black as Companelli? Also- when Cole calls in the Sandys , to fire on him I still gotta make sure my wife n kids don't see me tear up. That slo mo pass of the really jives me up. The acting sucked and lots was lost, but I would buy that one on DVD in a heartbeat.

The absolute "suckfest award" goes to-
"Something's Gotta Give."
I HATE Diane Keaton. What an awful actress, especially her shrieking and crying scene. Jack Nicholson was AWFUL in that movie too. In fact, he hasn't done any good acting since The Shining.

No one has mentioned my least favorite movie yet.....though probably not the worst. I was absolutely beside myself with anger watching The Ciderhouse Rules.
Let's see....Michael Caine as a drug addict, and Toby MaGuire learning that oh-so-valuable life lesson that sometimes, abortion is for the best. RETCH!

LOL...that doesn't make you uncultured at all. That was indeed a lousy movie. I saw it too, but it wasn't nearly as bad as " LOVES OF A BLONDE".
