Yep, I thought the new version was funny, we laughed all the way thru it. Why should you lose any respect for me for finding a movie funny.

I refuse to see most (99.9%) of today's movies and everyone else should do the same thing. And remakes are almost NEVER worth seeing!

The first "THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE", with Lawrence Harvey was a very good film; I suggest that you see it, if you haven't done so already. And it would be wise, for you and others to mention whether the movie you are talking about,on this thread and others, is the original, or the remake. That would negate confusion.

Although the word "Streisand" automatically makes anything to do with her
a poor candidate! She is such a smuck even the head
witch ,Hillary hates her !

She must think that people actually like her and listen to her screeching voice
in reality none care for her ,she is way, way past her prime ,she even offered and
slick turned her down, not even a buffing !

I find that Bit*h the Nightmare Before Christmas her voice makes me hurl big time
and her face doesn’t help That guy who married her is kept and hasn’t any class

Gosh, I am attached to that Fargo movie. That is one movie I just stare at and absorb each movement. Now, that's nuts. I'm the same way with the original The Shining. Once that music starts I'm glued to the tube until the final word in the credits.
