AMERICAN BEAUTY: A movie written by a British Poof-da, starring a faggot, whose subtext is that American Heterosexual values are crap and worthless.

BTW: I've never seen it. I instead applied the Michael Moore 'Fahrenheit 911' Rule: Crap = Crap; Why pollute your brain; Corollary - GIGO.

Another much over ballyhood film is "Streetcar Named Desire". I was never able to sit through it or even understand it.

Now, for an excellent movie of that era, one of my own all time favorites, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof".!!!!!!!!

Great flick.

Ditto. And, yes, I (who, incidentally, is a she) did mean the 1996 "Fargo."

Ordinary People was the most depressing movie I ever saw but Mary Tyler Moore played a stone cold "beetch" very well.

Aw, c'mon........Benson played a very funny priest in "The End". Remember him clicking his fingernails on his teeth in the confessional?

You liked it more than the original animated version?

My respect for you just dropped 40 points.

Actually, The China Syndrome was released to theaters before Three Mile Island had the meltdown. It wasn't so much the film's content as the timing that had people scared about nuclear power.

Back then, I used to have a thing for Elizabeth McGovern.

Believe it or not, I have seen all three films and I actually enjoyed them (though The Cook, etc. made me wince at times with the graphic scenes)
