How about the snoozefest "Lost in Translation" with Bill Murray and some cute, but untalented blonde.

I hated "Clockwork Orange" and I think I'm the only person in the world that hated "2001 S.O." Borrrring.I didn't hate 2001. If I ever need a sleep aid, that'd be a good choice. The special effects were good for the day. If it had a plot, I don't remember it. I'm not even sure I've ever seen it all the way through. The sound clips were fun to use for UI events back when I was into that sort of thing and had a Mac. ("I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Dave" or something like that.)
Suffice it to say when Stanley Kubrick died, I didn't find myself wishing he'd made a few more movies.

HAve to disagree about Lost in Translation, Murray was awesome. I liked that main male/female relationship was about freindship and didn't dengenerate into a sexual affair as most hollywood films.
To: HairOfTheDog
Yeah, I'm one of the few who liked "Toys," too. I thought it was one of the most visually interesting films I've ever seen.
The worst ever:
Anything hammered by MST3K
The Day After Tomorrow
Glitter (I've never seen it, but I've heard enough about it)
Matrix Revolutions
That's all I can think of right now.

Ordinary PeopleBingo. There's another one that was so non-memorable, I'd forgotten all about it. YAWN!

Perhaps someone has mentioned this but I'd say...STRIPTEASE (1996) with Demi Moore. It has got to be about the worse due to stupid story line, unbelievable mistakes, and just a nowhere idea. Even the advertisements for it could not decided if it was a serious of comedy film. Plus I remember Demi Moore getting so much attention about learning to do the striptease dance from real strippers. It was all over and even Baba Walters got involved. It has got to be the worst. As I type I'm trying to think of an equally bad movie but cannot so far.

We just got a dish installed and get HBO, Showtime, Cinamax free for 3 months. So we're surfing and come across this movie called "The Singing Detective" with Robert Downey Jr. and Mel Gibson.
Thinking anything with Mel Gibson can't be all that bad, we stopped to watch. BAD IDEA!
Robert Downey Jr. plays a wannabe writer of Detective Novels with one book under his belt. Yep you guessed it "The Singing Detective".
Now as if this wasn't bad enough, his character is also in a hospital with a very bad skin condition (Think Leprosy times 10) all over his body. Whenever he wants to take our minds off his bad makeup job, he reverts to his book character and busts into a song from the 50's and 60's.
Very confusing! And to make matters worse, Mel Gibson plays a boring shrink with a bald head and a really bad comb over!
I think the wife and I lasted all of 30 minutes before we changed the channel to a "House Hunters" re-run on HGTV.

Most films are nothing but HOllywood trash designed to negatively influence the simple minded. IN terms of damage to the country, the movie about the accident at 3-mile Island destroyed the nuclear energy industry and is in no small part responsible for the energy problems we have today. People, we have reached the Hubbert Peak of world oil production and are heading downhill from here and that means other energy sources must be utilized. The stinking liberats/envirowhacks have put us in this position and it won't be easy or cheap to remedy.

Gotta disagree with you. "Lost in Translation" was great. Bill Murray was terrific, Scarlett Johansson was interesting, the vapid movie starlett and Johansson's husband were perfectly repulsive, and it had a great ending.

""Fargo" gets my vote for the worst movie ever, or one of the worst at least."
Either (1) you're nuts or (2) you're not thinking of THE "Fargo".

And another not to be forgotten blivit
"little house of Horror's "
To: WhiteGuy
Based on personal experience, the only people who hate The Rocky Horror Picture Show were those kids who never went to see it in HS and College........... Saw it then, it was a bore.

Yeah, I'm one of the few who liked "Toys," too. I thought it was one of the most visually interesting films I've ever seen. Agreed... I haven't seen any of your worst choices. But you know what "bad" movie, ie MST3K "bad" is funny as heck? Piranha. Hilariously bad.

All the mafia movies...
The Godfather (S),
Scarface,
Goodfellas etc.
Total, absolute AWFUL movies and painful bores (if yer female). Everytime I see one on TV my first thought is "Will they just hurry up and kill eachother so I can watch something else?"
