No criticism of Vitter

Posted on 09/09/2005 9:02:58 AM PDT by Allen H

Was reading an email from a friend this morning about the political wrangling in LA, and this occured to me. Has everyone noticed how conspicuously far out of their way the media has gone to assess less than NO responsibility on Vitter, the Republican who miraculously won the U.S. Senate race outright last November in Louisiana? They don't even talk about him. Sure they want to blame everything on Bush, but the total lack of mention of Vitter would make you think he's a democrat. That would be hilarious if they did blame him! 8) I mean, someone would have to say "Wait a minute! You're going to blame the new guy that's been there only eight months, but NOT the mouthy corrupt broad from a corrupt political family that's been there for YEARS!, whose brother is the Lt. Governor, and who's Daddy ran things before her, all because she's a democRat and Vitter's a Republican?" That would bee so funny! Anything he should have been doing the past eight months, surely she should have already done years ago right? 8) That's been very conspicuous. You can't indict Vitter without convicting Landrieu by proxy. Very funny I think. 8) I just hope there's no more deaths and the body count is lower than expected. MUCH lower. That 10,000 number just makes your head spin. That's over four times more than have been killed in Iraq. Kinda puts Iraq in perspective too huh? How can Iraq be that bad when Katrina killed in less than one week what it took the Iraq war to kill in over two and a half years. Perspective is everything for sure. Just something I thought was interresting.

To blame Vitter means that they would have to blame Landrieau (sic). I feel both Senators deserve a share of the blame. Not as much as Blanco and Nagin, but they should shoulder some of it. Once relief is on the way and the victims needs have been met, Vitter NEEDS to come forward and start setting the record straight and defend Bush. It's the right thing to do.

I agree totally. I bet the lib media and democrats would give anything for either Landrieu to be a Republican so they could rip her and Vitter, or that Vitter was the senior Senator that had been there for years, so they could rip him, and give Landrieu a pass as the recently elected democrat Senator who hasn't been there long enough to have had an impact on this disaster prevention. You just KNOW they're not happy with Landrieu the democrat being the senior senator, forcing them to lay totally off of Vitter. 8) It's funny. I mean, they attack any conservative they can all the time anytime, so it sticks out like a sore thumb that they don't go at Vitter.

Really, why shut them up when they are spouting the same line the Dems are. I think they paid too much attention to the media stories and had a knee-jack reaction thinking that every person in Louisiana was going to be upset with Bush. They are going to be sorry come election time. You should never forget who your constituents are and you should find out what they really think before you run your mouth.
