I'm glad that SG1 finally dumped that Vala babe,
I thought here character was too annoying.
It's a crying shame that they left an obvious opening for her return in future episodes.
I would've preferred to see her get permanently zapped.
I agree that the show was getting stale and needed a change of direction, but I'm not sure if they found it.
Whatever happened to that cute little girl who played the nerdy female cadet at the Air Force academy that Carter was mentoring? She oughta be old enough by now to be promoted as a member of the new "team". Carter is still good looking, but it's time for a fresh face there too. And Vala certainly didn't cut it.

I'm still curious to see which way Atlantis goes as well.
That Ronan the Barbarian dude is OK, I suppose.
Gotta have something for the women viewers since the other male characters are such metrosexual weiners.
It was good to see McKay get knocked down a couple of pegs in the last episode I saw.
I think he's annoying too.
With a little luck, they'll give more character development to his sidekick, Dr. Zelenka. That little dude is cool, even though they haven't given him much to work with.

I think "more swordcraft" would improve the show.

..and let the dismembered portions of the body, reanimate as in "Night of the Living Dead" style..."Barbra, I'm coming to eat you"..as a third/fourth party in the series. :D

I liked the Vala character, myself.

And I very much like Jack's replacement.

The secret of SG1 is that it's really a comedy, I think.

Vala was brought in because the actress who plays Lt. Col. Carter was on maternity leave.

I like Vala as a recurring character not as a permanent cast member.
