I'm still curious to see which way Atlantis goes as well.
That Ronan the Barbarian dude is OK, I suppose.
Gotta have something for the women viewers since the other male characters are such metrosexual weiners.
It was good to see McKay get knocked down a couple of pegs in the last episode I saw.
I think he's annoying too.
With a little luck, they'll give more character development to his sidekick, Dr. Zelenka. That little dude is cool, even though they haven't given him much to work with.
I agree. Passacaglia is great too. Bear McCreary deserves a lot of credit for the BSG soundtrack. Every piece is original...And he's only 26. :)
Please add me to your SciFi ping list! Thanks!
I think "more swordcraft" would improve the show.
..and let the dismembered portions of the body, reanimate as in "Night of the Living Dead" style..."Barbra, I'm coming to eat you"..as a third/fourth party in the series. :D
Oh please, no more square dances on Firefly!! This is getting so hokey!!
And I very much like Jack's replacement.
The secret of SG1 is that it's really a comedy, I think.
IMHO, that just takes more of the science out of science fiction.
Everybody has their own tastes.
I never cared much for trashy sluts,
but I can understand why other guys find them tempting.
I think she is pretty good too. The poster that said all that seemed like a bummer anyway. The read I got from his was "well this stink and this sucks, but I guess it could be worse"
I HATE that attitude. Its like watching a football game with a fellow "fan" who 2min into the game, and a punt is already saying "thats it... we lost, they stink so bad... I hate (insert player here)"
Anyway, I'm partial to Brunettes and that whole greek/italian curvy thing and she did keep some humor going with the interaction of her and Daniel, and her and "men" in general.
That was something I alwayws LOVED about Richard Dean Anderson (O'Niel)... his humor and the lighthearted reactions he would have to the intense situations. Almost like a "average joe" attitude about intergalacitc relations and war.
Too bad he left, though I guess 7yrs of doing anything gets old... I mean how long did he do MacGyver?
A new (to me) motorcycle kept me going, but I'll tell ya, Friday night w/o BSG was different. Rush home, switch on the cable and TV, turn to SciFi--WTH? No BSG!
Grrr, ok well I guess I'll do something constructive like learn a new programming trick or clean the apt for company coming the next day.
>>Anyway, I'm partial to Brunettes and that whole greek/italian curvy thing
Never watched the show but I agree on that point--almost started watching because she was on it (hmm, who is THAT? Maybe I'll watch this Stargate thing).
Though the blonde Cylon on BSG is one surprising exception ... most of the other blondes in TV-land don't do much for me.
Vala was brought in because the actress who plays Lt. Col. Carter was on maternity leave.
I like Vala as a recurring character not as a permanent cast member.
LOL, Sounds about right. I suspect Memorial Day 2006 will highlight the 200th showing of "Mansquito".
Some of those movies are just awful.
I'm with you on Firefly. I never watched it until this Sci-Fi run and I was trying to figure out why I missed it before.
Then I remembered. The ad campaign for the show back in 03 emphasized that it was about a future in which the resources of the Earth were all used up. Naturally, I expected some apocalyptic enviro-wacko diatribe. Guess I shouldn't be so narrow minded.
I panicked on Saturday when I checked my TiVo and no BSG. Figured I'd screwed up a setting or their was some damn Barney marathon that took precedence or something. Luckily, I had a TV guide to discover it hadn't been on. But not before hyperventilating.
Sad but true... If it wasn't for these shows, I would not be watching sci-fi at all..
I love the new BSG though I am behind on episodes because I changed from Time Warner cable to Direct TV so I lost everything on my DVR. (backed up on my computer but hard to watch in the basement until I get them onto a DVD.)
Am I the only one to think we are in a semi-golden age of Science Fiction on TV and movies. There is a lot of junk out there but think about this:
I am addicted to FIVE current SF shows. That is an all-time high for me.
The SciFi Friday nights of BSG, SG-1, and SG Atlantis
The 4400 on USA a great season finale and one of my favorite single hours on TV this year (Life
Lost, with a border line SF plot and 16-18 million viewers (You don't survive a plane crash like that with out something unusual going on, let alone the Island, the numbers, etc...)
I wish I'd known Firefly was starting, now I'll have to wait for the next go around.
Heh, that's unfortunate. It's actually quite libertarian.
