but taking precautions (firewall, anti-spyware, anti-virus) seems to keep things secure.

I am running Fedora Core 4 and I am using what they supply for Internet browsing....

I keep my XP machines off the Internet as much as possible,,,,,

I spend NO TIME or MONEY for Security precautions!

Fedora has a built in Firewall!

I use Firefox Mozilla for Internet surfin'. It seems to work OK, but it crashes a lot on pop-up heavy sights like National Review Online and sometimes Drudge. Other than that it works fine. I might need to try Fedora ...

Does Fedora Core 4 give you all the multimedia support and functionality for Internet browsing that you get with XP and Mozilla?

I ran versions of Slakware & BSD years ago for INET browsing security, also ran OS2 from 1993 to 2000 or 2001. But then the browser support on those OS's fell behind what the WWW was dishing out, so I gave it up.
